My work has always explored the suggestion that beauty and the sublime can be felt, and that sensation can be aroused through an aesthetic experience. Though the paintings begin with natural subjects, they have been manipulated by a camera, computer, magazine, or television. The result is an image detached from its original organic state that initiates a dialogue regarding physical and emotional responses to this accelerated age.
